DISTRICT III ARTS AND CRAFTS AND SEWING CONTEST is scheduled for Saturday, February 20, in Perrywith registration at 9 A M and Registration/Luncheon Fee $5.00. All entries must be preregistered no later than February 12 on forms which I have. Please get the information regarding your entry to me immediately (385-3743). We are proud to announce that Kathy Eberley will be the entry in the District III Sewing Contest, having won first place in our Club Contesr held January 19.

Caroline Townsend, Chairman of the American Homes Department, advises that this Department's February meeting will be held at the home of Edna Barnes, 1534 Colonial Drive, on the 25th at 7:30 P M. Mable Walters will serve as co-hostess. Carol Lench will present a program on RONALD McDONALD HOUSE tm.

Caroline also announced a "RAINBOW PREVIEW FOR SPRING" with Fashions by the Vogue, Thursday, March 25, 7:30 P M, at the Clubhouse. Proceeds from this event, sponsored by the American Homes Department, will go to RONALD McDONALD HOUSE tm. Tickets are $3.00 and may be purchased from American Homes Department members, The Vogue, and Boutique Hair Fashions, or at the door. Refreshments will be served and there will be door prizes.

Jeanne Parsons, Education Department Division Chairman, has arranged another BOOK REVIEW for our listening pleasure. On Friday, February 26, at 10 A M, Juanita Matthews will serve us a reading diet--non-fattening, enriching and free when she reviews Victor Hugo's "Les Miserables," a 19th Century Classic.

TUMOR CLINIC BENEFIT - Again this year our Club is co-sponsoring this event with the Junior Woman's Club. A Fashion Show by Gayfers and Gourmet Desserts will be featured at the Clubhouse Tuesday, March 16, at 7:30 P M. Thw Woman of the Year Award will also be presented. Tickets are $6.50. Beulah McGlon is serving as Chairman for our Club. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Hilda Mills and Juanita Evans, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the HOME LIFE DEPARTMENT, for the timely program January 14 informing us of services available to the aging, including Hospice facilities, new to our community. We are indebted to all the members of the Home Life Department for their efforts on behalf of this Club day.

Frances Moore and Jane Creedman for bringing to a successfil conclusion the Club's two-year Community Improvement Project, the Multiple Sclerosis Read-A-Thon. We also appreciate the assistance rendered to this project by Becky Tucker and all other Club members who participated.

Lila Eubanks and her committee for the benefit for Hacienda Girls Ranch. The card party was enjoyable and the Soup Luncheon was tasty, and best of all this function netted $304.00 for the Ranch!

Bernice Wilkison, Chairman of the Sewing Contest, a Division of The Arts Department, for another fine Contest this year with ten entries. Kathy Eberley was first place winner; Molly Buell second and Lillian Cox third. Jewell Wollschlager, Chairman of the Division of Safety for the Public Affairs Department, for coordinating and hostessing a "Neighborhood Watch" organizational meeting at her home on January 26, with an excellent response.
