Mrs. Gramling read a note of
thanks from the Girl Scout
Council for the $25.00 the
club sent them. Mrs. Bostain,
chairman Welfare comm expressed
thanks from Mrs.
Lehare for the money for the
soup at Tealey School. Mrs.
Bostain also reported that
the spring drive for clothing
for school children will be
put on soon, with Mrs. Sam
Rosenberg, chairman of the
comm. Mrs. Perkins, from the
health unit nurse, told
briefly of the improvement of
children who are having
milk furnished them regularly,
and she also stated
that many health projects
are being carried on in
the various schools, together
with contests which act as
an incentive for children
to improve their physical
condition. Mrs. Hunter
told of the work being
done by the Women's
organizations of ten churches
of the city in preparing
layettes for indigent mothers
and babies. She also
announced that an
entertainment will be given
at the club house on
May 10th for [ ?] payments.
