Head Quarters Greenville April 23d 1794

The Adjutant General will Select thirty NonCommissioned officers and privates from the first SubLegion to march at Gun fire to morrow Morning under the Command of Lieut Gaines with four days provision and twenty four rounds of ammunition Pr man- The Assistant Qr Master will furnish twenty good felling axes, 12 Spades, & 12 pickes with an Oxteam & 2 days provender to accompany this detach =ment. Captain Howell Lewis's Company of Light Infantry furnished with four days provisions and twenty four rounds of ammunition Pr Man will also march at Reveille to morrow

morning. Those Officers are to call at Head Quarters at 8 OClock this Evening for further orders

The following detachments composed of the select Companies drafted for Captains Price, Andrews and the fourth of the first SubLegion are to be held in readiness to march at Reveille the day after to morrow furnished with four days provisions and twenty four rounds of ammunition Pr Man- Major Hughes & Hunt are also for this Command- they will receive orders to morrow.

William Levard private in Captain Hannahs Company, was tried charged with uttering two false orders in the Name of Ensign Wright without his Knowledge or Consent. Pleads Guilty The Court find him Guilty- but in consequence of his youth and inexperience and other circumstances in his Favour Sentence him to receive twenty five Lashes only James Berry private in the Company late Faulk ners charged with forging an order in the Name of Mr Wright Ensign in the Sub Legion.

The prisoner pleads not Guilty The Court are of Opinion that he is not not Guilty and do acquit him. Samuel Hyle Sergt in the Company late (Faulkners) charged with going in an Officers Hut and in his Absence drink ing with his Servant or Waiter pleads not Guilty The Court Acquit him. Peter Johnstone private in Capt Guions Company tried charged with neglect of Duty and Disobedience of Orders in appearing dirty and unsoldierlike when for Guard on parade The prisoner pleads not Guilty The Court find him Guilty & Sentance him

to receive Twenty five Lashes and do the Duty of Camp Colour Man to the Company for two Weeks Jeremiah Clarkson private in Capt Wm Lewis's Company tried Charged with being absent from Roll Call, & being Drunk in his Hut- Pleads Guilty The Court find him Guilty, and Sentance him to receive fifteen Lashes, and be put on Fatigue for one week- The Major Commanding approves of the foregoing Sentences and orders them carried into Effect except in the Case of Leward which he suspends for the present The Corporal punishment will take place this Evening at retreat Beating roll Call- The prisoners will then be Released.

The Court Martial before Mentioned is disolved
