My dear Dr. Bartsch
Before you left Washington on April 29 I be-
lieve that Dr. Merriam spoke to you about a memoran-
dum which was in prepartion concerning the conduct
of investigations at Tortugas during the coming sum-
mer. Dr. Longley having consented to assume such
degree of responsibility as may desirable, this
memorandum, a copy of which is inclosed herewith, is
now being forwarded to Dr. Schaeffer and to Mr. Mills
as well as to Dr. Longley and yourself. I hope that
everything goes well with you.
Sincerely yours
Administrative Secretary
