Remarks on board Thursday the 10 of October. These 24 hours Commences with Calm weather. We cut the whale and scraped the bone and sot the try works a gong and saw several whale and lowered the boats and went after them and Mr. Jones boat got there fast and tyhe line got foul and they had to cut. We chasded them a spell and found it was of no use to chase they any further and went a board and we saw another one and went after it but soon returned without it. 106 Remarks on board Friday the 11th. These 24 hours Commences with light winds and Calms [?] at 6 we began to ?stow the oil down and we saw a great many finbacks. At 10 we finished ?drying 107 Days out REmarks on board Saturday the 12. These 24 hours Commences with a pleasant breezs. We finished a stowing down the oil and scraped the decks. AM we saw a whale and lowered the boats and went after it and it was very shy and we couuld not strike it and we came [ILLUSTRATION in margin] Whale tail - 90 aboard and got breakfast and lowered the boats and Mr Jones boat got fast and soon killed it and got it along side of the ship and cut it in. 108 Days out

Remarks o board Sunday the 13th. These 24 hours Commences with moderate Breeze. All hands employed in the scraping bone. We saw a great many finbacks and we saw two or three right whale 109 Days out

Remarks on board Monday the 14th. These 24 hours Commences with fresh breeze. All hands employed in stowing down the oil and cleaning the Decks. 110 Days out

Remarks on board Tuesday the 15th. These 24 hours Commences with a Gale of wind and rain with some thunder and lightning. 11 Days out

Remarks on board Wedmesday the 16th og October 1822. These 24 hours Commences with more moderate. We loosed sail and it is foggy. 112 Days out

Remarks on board Thursday the 17th. These 24 hours Commences with a moderate Breeze and foggy. At 3 we saw a whale and lowered the boats and the Capts boat soon got fast. The whale run [ILLUSTRATION in margin] Wale tain - lost very bad so it took us some time before could kill it. It came on very foggy so that we lost sight of the ship We put a ?weft in the whale and left it. We soon found the ship. It rained very hard all night. AM called all hands and made sail to look for the whale. At 10 the wuind blows so hard so that we took in sail and have the ship to. 113 Days out

Remarks on board Saturday the 19th. These 24 Commences with fresh breeze and squally and lighting. At day light called all hands and made sail and at 7 took in sail it rains. At 10 the weather Clear and pleasant. Called all hands and made sail. 115 Days out

Remarks on board Tuesday the 22. These 24 hours Commences with moderate gale and at 3 made sail. The weather more moderate at 5. Saw several spouts to the leeward. We kept the ship away. Some of them were finbacks and some right whale. At ? we lowered the

boats and after a while Mr Jones boat got fast and the whale run some when they first struck but [ILLUSTRATION in margin] Whale tail - 60 he soon brought to and we soon killed him and got him along side of the ship and soon cut him in. A A ?plenty of whale in sight 118 Days out

Remarks on board Wednesday the 23. These 24 hours Commences with pleasant weather. [ILLUSTRATION in margin] - Whale tail - 50 Mr Jones and mr Fordham lowered away and Mr Fordhams boat got fast and we soon killed it and got it along side of the ship and cut it. In ?west a sail in sight 119 Days out

Remarks on board Friday the 25th. These 24 hours Commences with moderate Breeze. We stowed 50 bls of oil down and spoke the Ship Charles of Boston. ?Coffin Master with one whale we saw a whale but did not go after it. 121 Days out

Remarks on board Saturday the 26th. These 24 hours Commences with fresh Breeze. At 4 called all hands and took in sail and put the oil ?betwik Decks. At 8 it began to thunder and lightning very hard so that they stopped the try works it rains very hard. At 1 Clear and pleasant. ?sot the ?fire to ?gong and loosed the foresail. At 6 loosed the topsail a sail in sight 122 Days out

Remarks on board Monday 28th. These 24 Commences with a fresh Breeze. Spoke the ship Hannable with 8 sperm whale and the ship Thorn is in sightwith 7 whale and the Brig General Scott with 2 whale ? sperm 3 124 Days out

We saw a Gam of whales and lowered the boats and Mr. Jones [ILLUSTRATION] Whale tail - 70 boat got fast and the Capt fastened and soon got ?loos and short after Mr Jones ?loos and Mr. Fordham got fast and the whale sounded and hook his line and Mr. Jones soon fastened and the Capt fastened and we killed it and got it along side and cut it in. 129 Days out
