Remarks on board Monday the 9th of Sept 1822
These 24 hours Commences with light winds from
the westward. We saw a Large ship this morning
standing to the N and Eastward. The watch employed
in braking out the bread to Cooper it.

Remarks on board Tuesday the 10th. These 24 hours Commences
with pleasant . All hands employed in sending down
the fore main and mizen topgallant yards and
mast. At 9 PM the wind shifted to the S
and Eastward. We ?clued up the fore and mizen
topsail and handed them and double reefed the
maintopsail and handed the jib abd spanker
and have to under the foresail and foretopmast
stasail and mizen stasail and maintopsail. At
8 PM called all hands and handed the foresail
for the gale increases. 76 Days out hove to on the ?fals bank

Remarks on board Wednesday the 11th. These 24
hours commences with a ?Gail [GALE] of wind and ends
with the same. 77 Days out

Remarks on board Thursday the 12th. These 24
hours Commences with a ?Gail [GALE] of wind from
S and Eastward. Continual squals of rain and
hard Gust o Wind however we Entertain a hope
that the gale is almost over. 78 Days out

Remarks on board Friday the 13th. These 24 hours
Commences a Gale of wind from S and Eastward.
At 12 the Gale abates. At 6 called all hands were
called to make sail. We are all employed in
?macking [MAKING] mats and ?scrutebrushes. Course SSW

Remarks on board Saturday the 14th, These 24 hours
Commences with light winds from the eastward.
At 6PM took in sail and hove to. At 6 AM
made all sail and stood SW.
