DECEMBER 1944
24 Sun - 4th in Advent
Went to Sunday School in
morning and taught primary. No sunday
school in afternoonand read a book still
very foggy and cold so did not go to
chapel in evening. Read again. Ted & Betty
came in.
25 Mon - Christmas Day (Quarter Day)
Very foggy and
freezing. Had a lovely Lot of presents in
morning. Slippers & handbag from Mummy &
Daddy. Worked in the morning. Had dinner at
home. Went to Auntie Winnie's for tea and
supper. Ted came with us. Had a good
time.
26 Tues - S. Stephen. Bank Holiday
Still foggy
Went to Grandma's for dinner, tea,
and supper. Played with Ian in the
afternoon. Clarkes not there owing to
Rogers whooping cough. Played games in
the evening. Got home at 11.30 pm
27 Wed - S. John
Very sharp frost. Freezing all
day. Fog cleared. Stayed in bed
until dinner time. Wrote a letter in
afternoon and did some ironing. Betty
came in in evening and brought A.A.C Eric
Paterson W/T. Dave & Colin came in.
