JANUARY 1943 . Brian, Auntie Connie & Uncle Harold & Grandma came to tea. Played games in evening. We all went to Grandma’s for dinner & tea, Had a lovely time. Sunday Well all went to little Thetford with the Constables. All took part in service. Monday Edna came and stayed the night Very cold Tuesday It snowed Endna went home. Mr Stewart came back. Rough wet day Nellie came to tea. Went to Auntie Marion’s to stay. Went to see the Pantomime Alladin. It was lovely. Mummie & Daddy went too.

JANUARY 1943 3 SUNDAY
Went to Church in morning with Aunties Marion & Winnie & Roger Mr Oakly preacher . Played in afternoon and evening.
4 MONDAY Went to see Auntie Winnie & Roger off in the morning. On way back brought myself a bicycle basket 9/2. We came home on 4.15 bus.
5 TUESDAY Helped Mummy with work in morning. Went to Brians to tea in afternoon. Had a good time
6 WEDNESDAY Fall of snow. Then it rained all the rest of the day. Did some knitting in morning . Janet went to Sutton in afternoon
7 THURSDAY Rained all morning helped Mummy with work. Went to Sutton in afternoon. Walter and Mrs Constable came to tea & Mr C and Miss [] & [Mrs Cambary] came in the evening Had a lovely time
8 FRIDAY Very cold. Helped Mummie with work in morning. Went to walters to tea. Played games in evening had a lovely time
9 SATURDAY Helped Mummy in morning went to Sunday school treat had a good tea and played games. came home at 9. o’clock.

11 MONDAY Helped Mummie in morning. Finished my pixie hood. Played games in the evening.
12 TUESDAY Helped Mummie in morning. Took Pete for a walk. Janet went to Ely Had my hair washed. Got ready for school.
13 WEDNESDAY Started school again. lovely day. Miss Baird away did not have any homework.
14 THURSDAY Rained in the morning, rather cold. Mr Constable came in evening.
15 FRIDAY Quite cold. Went out in the dinner our & brought some silks. Mr Stewart went to film show in evening
16 SATURDAY * Did some home work & helped Mummie in morning. Finished homework in afternoon. Played in evening.

18 Monday Quite Cold. Did not do gym or games Miss Telly & Miss Baird away listened to Monday Night at eight.
19 Tuesday Mr Crown called. Some rain. Mummy & Mummie Daddy went out in evening.
20 Wednesday Miss Garnet away, so had two free lessons. Went out in dinner hour
21 Thursday Miss Latimer away. Danced instead of Gym. Went to film show with Mr Stewart. Very good. Film was the Penalty.
22 Friday Ver Lovely day. Mummie and Daddy went out in evening
23 Saturday Did vegetables in morning Lovely afternoon rained in evening
