A good day. Ben and Paul worked on tobacco land.

I got dinner and churned. Put ashes on the potatoes this evening. Went to Carries a few minutes this evening.

Josie made her silk waist to day. The preacher come to see Paul this morning.

A good day. Jim plowed. Ben went to Altavista to have his teeth worked on. He got his worke done. Henry went with Ben.

Josie washed and ironed a silk shirt for Jim. We had turnip salit for dinner. The boys have a nice bed of salit.

I have bin at home all day and no one come. Was thinkin that John might come. Hope he will come soon.

A good day. The men worked in their tobacco all day. Josie made her a dress this morning, the silk that Mrs Car gave her. I churned and got dinner. This evening we all went to Marvins. They had company. I was glad to see them all. Kate Harvey, Mag & Doris Fran[?] & Charley Brumfield. Lottie Kellie & two children.

Mr Kellie brought them & come for them. He is good to take them around.

Rorer the commioner come while we were there. He took the list of Ben & I.

A good day. Cloudy tonight. The men plowed all day. Josie done a big washing and finished by dinner. I got dinner this evening. I went to Johnson Reynolds. Mollie was finishing her a silk dress. Martha Miller was there helping her with the work a few days. I am glad she could get her. We need help but cant get any.
