Worked in shop -- Made some gardens - sowed Lettuce & cabbage planted onions - moved Shrub tree

Worked in shop in morning hooped wheel for W Scarborough Wrote deed for Barrah Jackson Surveyed a lot of 6 acres for Edward Davidson Sarah & Daniel J. here in the afternoon - Weather warm and pleasant - Roads good

14 Sunday

Went Meeting at Union - F.B. Goltier held forth. Went to mother's for dinner. Rain & hail Took supper with Danl J. Stopped at Benj Miller's - Lydiam called at our house and took dinner

Clears up - Wind very high Watson Scarborough got his wagon paid $5 - Empron(?) Touchtone called and paid him $1- on account of his loss by fire - Lizzie Baker came home - Rachel & little Jane were here. Herrings along & nets

then executed - Fitzsimmons paid the amt of two thousand dollars $500 in gold $450 in notes $850 checks on Cecil Bank $150 of orders from Dr Boone and $50 which he had previously paid and got a deed for the property - I wrote a lease from Mother & Rachel to John W Simpers for their Farm for one year at $50 per year and he to repair fences.

Went up in morning to sale of Danl Js property - day cold and disagreeable Good turn out. Property sold pretty fair for cash - Sold brick yard to John Ford for $205 - wrote deed for it at night

Feb 20th 1852

Went to John Campbell's early in morning and paid due bill $10.75 Went to Port Deposit with check for $833.20 deduct now in in bank $150 got balance $683.20 paid 30 cts on old balance - came down in steamboat to Havre de grace and called to see Henry Foster and family. Came on in cars to Elkton. stayed at Walmsley's all night

Came home and took dinner at Mr Price's, went up in the afternoon to see mother All talking about moving

23 March Went with Sarah and family as far as Havre de grace on their way to Baltimore. Then went in Steamboat to Port Deposit and saw Daniel then on his way, and went with him nearly to the Bridge and bade him farewell and returned to Havre de grace Took supper at Mr Fosters and came at night to Elkton Saw Wilson Lynch from Va. Stayed all night at Walmsley's

Went up town - paid Mrs May $4.12 met Mr Price and Milly at Elkton Came home in evening. Mr Helm bold came back

Assisted Mother & Rachel in moving to Elkton. Very cold in mor ning. Came home with (__) Simpers. appearance of rain
