Dear Mr. Vaisey

I enclose a cheque for Mr Stiffs account which perhaps had better be paid by you as everything has been conducted through you. My husband I am sorry to say has been very ill again in the same way with fits -- and though

his strength is excellent and the attacks were milder yet I am grieved to say he is left in a most unhappy melancholy condition. In due course of time I hope he may be relieved but meanwhile it is almost unbearable. My visit to Tring consequently is quite knocked on the head as I dare

not leave him. Please give Mrs Vaisey my kind [R????] and say I am so sorry we did not see more of each other.

Sir, re 16 Kidbrook Grove Your favor duly to hand. We are much surprised to hear that General Bray has disputed our charge as you are aware that in your presence Mrs. Bray asked our Mr. Stiff what the amount of our charge would he & was told about £10.10.0. As we do not in any way wish to misapreaciate the Generals kindness we will accept his offer for the

amount of £ 8.10. as we do not think for the sake of £2 it is worth considering. It is usual when fixtures are taken at a valuation to charge 2 1/2 % on the amount but this we have not done.

Awaiting the favor of your reply

We are Sir

Yours faithfully
