20th Dec 1852 Went to Marley in morning got $40 of W G C -- Went with Dr Dunott & Partridge to look at old field - Brown commenced school -

21 j Rain - worked in shop - Wm Thomas went away -

22 At work at sleigh - some appearance of snow Dr Dunott at shop.

23 Appearanced of snow or rain in morning. Went to make sale of Mrs Wilson's property but on account of rain no purchasers came.

24 Rain. Took Mother & Milly to Elkton - Was unwell with headache

Dec 30th 1852 Pleasant day - Sale of Mrs Wilson's property to day - Mrs Price came home from Phila.

31 Weather warm - Went in morning to Elkton and took cars for Havre de grace - Went up in Boat to Port Deposit. came in afternoon to Havre and took supper at Mr Fosters. left at eight in cars for Elkton - stayed all night with mother. So ends this year 1852 - a year of great abundance and of general prosperity remarkable in the death of two distinguished statesmen Clay and Webster, and in the election of Franklin Pierce to the Presidency by a large majority over Gen. Scott.
