A good day. Ben and Owen finished getting up wheat and rye this morning. Ben and Marvin went to Hubbards this evening. Josie finished Beatrice Owens dress this evening. I got the dinner.

This evening Grace Brumfield and I went to the river fishing. Caught eels.

Got home at dark. Josie had milked and got supper. I was glad. I was tired. I got a letter from Mary Brumfield. I am glad to hear from them.

A good day. Ben stacked his oats to day and finished plowing corn for him self and Owen. Plowed some in the garden. Josie ironed and got dinner most all of it. I got a new dress. Alma Bennett sent it this evening by mail.

I went to Carries a while and then to Posie Reynolds. I carried Mrs Rice a bonnett that Alma Bennett made the bonnett. Carrie Smith furnished the material and gave it to Mrs Rice. Posie and his mother was gone to Chatham.

I had a letter from Ola (Bennett) Jefferson .

We are having some rain to night and need it two.

A good day.

Ben and Owen went to the mill did not get any grinding. Ben helped Marvin fix his pump a gain to day. Helped Owen fix his stove pipe. Miss Willie Wooding come a while this evening.

Josie made her a dress this evening. To night Ben and Paul and the children went to Renan bought shells. Paul killed two rabbits. Kate sent the calf home this morning.

I went to see Bens and Pauls crops this evening. It looks good now. We need rain.

Josie has sick head ache. I hope she will soon be well.

A good day. Ben and Owen went to Altavista this morning got home by dinner time.

Josie mended some garments this morning. We got a snack for dinner.

This evening I went to see Mollie. She was making a dress for her self. They had a mighty sick pig. I think it will die.

Mr and Mrs John Smith come to see Marvin and Carrie this evening. They had two of the girls with them.

Josie and Franklin went to Mr Owens this evening.

A cold windy day. Ben went to Glenland this morning to the meeting of the School Board. This evening he worked on Owens house. Jim Brumfield helped him today on the house. Josie and Virginia made some candy today. They got dinner. I worked some button holes in Hazel Smith's dresses and mended some things. Late this evening Edna and I went to Carries.

Virginia is here tonight.

Alma Bennett sent me a present today, a dress ready to wear. I am glad of it.

10 oclock and the wind is blowing hard and it is very cold.
