Thursday September 15, 1921
A good day. Had a little rain a bout day this morning. Need more bad. Ben sowed some rye this morning. Jim shelled some corn this morning. Ben went to the mill this evening. Carried corn & rye & wheat. I went with him on the waggon. I fished while they ground the grain. I caught several fish. I intend to fry them in the morning.
Josie has raked a place in the garden and sowed turnip seed on it. I do hope that they may come up and grow.
Ben and Josie dug bait for me while I changed my dress and shoes.
Monday September 26, 1921
A cloudy day & cool no to do any good. Jim & Ben sowed some seeds. Ben went to the school house to a farmers meeting. He joined the unioin today. There was a big crowd so Ben said.
Jim is helping Marvin tie tobacco tonight. Ben & Mr Mayhew has gone hunting. Josie made Mabel a dress to day. We went to Marvins this evening a little while. I have bin sewin on a quilt tonight.
Monday October 17, 1921
A beautiful day. No sign of rain. Jim & Marvin moved some tobacco this morning. Ben went to Chalk Level to get some peices sawed to make a roller to roll their wheat land. They worked on the roller all evening and did not finish it. Josie sewed some on a dress for Edna.
I went to Marvins this evening. They are getting on very well there. Tonight Marvin & Ben has gone hunting.
We heard this morning that Mr Taz Wooding died last night. Will be buried tomorrow.
Monday October 31, 1921
A rainy day. The land is good and wet the first time in about five months. I hope it will quit raining for this time soon. Jim & Ben stripped tobacco all day. Marvin went to Gretna to meet some one. A Mr Shelton went with him. I know that they had a rough time.
I went to George Blairs. Lottie is there with her two little children & Net with one. They are good looking children.
Ben has gone to bed sick. I hope he may be well soon.

Monday, January 5, 1920
A clear cold day. Jim & Ben cut wood in the woods. We got dinner today at twelve oclock. Josie went to Carries a little while today. I kept the baby. She was very good. I cut a feww peices for a quilt. Josie washed & ironed a dress for Edna.
Henry & Edna went to school. It was very colde on them.
