Thursday, January 19, 1922
A rainy day. The boys stripped tobacco. The children went to school. They were late at school. Mabel is better today. I am so glad Josie and I do a little cookin and [Nanes?] Mabel is so cross.
I have not bin anywher or heard any thing new so I have not got anything to write. The weather is bad and soon the roads will be bad so that people can't run a car. Henry & Edna are studying their lessons yet.

Friday, January 20, 1922
A cloudy day & some rain. Raining tonight. Ben & Jim stripped tobacco. The children went to school.Ednacome home with the head ache. I hope she will be well in the morning. Mabel has as well as we could expect today. I have mended some thing today. Josie sewed on her quilt what Mabel would let her. Josie got two letters today. One from Carrie one from Ella. All of their people were well. We heard today that Miss Anna Wilborn died this morning. Will be buried tomorrow at Strait Stone.
Thursday, February 16, 1922
Snowed again last night and have not thawed but very little allday. Today it is a very bad time. Ben & Josie milked today. I am not going out much. We dressed two chickens today and cooked one. Henry went to school the weather was two bad for Edna. Franklin & Mabel has bad colds. I think Jim feels better than he did yesterday. I know I hope he does. I am sorry for myself and every boddy esle [crossed out] else. I want to hear from all of my children and grand children. Do hope that the weather will get good.
Monday, February 20, 1922
A cloudy day. Ben & Jim trimmed up some apple trees. Mollie Reynols come today. I was glad to see her. I had a letter from Carrie. Was glad to hear from her & them all. I am not well and Mabel is crying and going on so that I am tempted to go off some where. Josie has whipped her more than she ever did in her life. Gess she needs it but I can hardly stand it. Edna & Franklin has bin up all day today. I do hope that times will get better here soon. If they dont I would go some where if I knowed where to go.
Friday, February 24, 1922
A good day. Jim worked on the orchard. Ben Helped work on the phone line. Henry & Edna went to school. Josie got dinner. Kate Harvey come and eat dinner with us. We was glad to see her. Franklin & Mabel is not well. I would be so glad for them to get well a gain
Kate and I worked on some button holes for Carries children.
