A beautiful day. Jim & Ben and Josie staid at home and worked. Josie got dinner and made some preserves. Greased the little turkeys. I got the breakfast and milked the cows and fed the fowls. Then Stuart Owen come for me and carried me to his home then Mr. Owen carried me to Owens mill. We fished but did not catch much. I did not catch any thing. We had a nice dinner. Lottie Kellie and Mrs Owen had enough to feed the crowd. I had a snack. We all put our dinner together. I want to see Carrie very bad.

A cloudy morning but no rain. I am haveing an easy time. My hip hurts me some yet I worked two button holes and hemed two quilts and gathered some peas today. Earl & Lonnie Bennett plowed some but they need rain bad. They watered their plant beds to night.

Alma went visiting this evening. Lizzie attends to the cows and chickens. She has five little turkeys. They are getting on fine.

I certainly do want to know how they are at home. Hope I will hear soon.
