A good day. I am at Bennetts to day. Lony & Earl are replanting tobacco. Alma is working on a dress for Bessie Shelhorse. Lizzie had English peas for dinner the firs that I have seen this year. Gordon come this morning and brough his baby. Lizzie & Alma kept it until twelve oclock. Well I do wish I could know how they are getting on at home. I do hope that Mabel is better off by now.

A cloudy day. No rain to do any good. Lizzie Bennett got dinner. I mended some overalls. Alma ironed some cloth this morning. Gordon & Frances and the boy come over here this evening. I walked to the garden this evening.

I got a note from home this morning. I was glad to get it. They said Mabel was some better when they wrote. I do hope that the children will keep well and all of the rest of them. I feel anxious a bout them all and my self two. I hope my leg will soon be well.

A clear day. Ben carried Willie & Bill to Long Island. Josie and Franklin & Mabel went with him.

Jim come home. Henry Blair brought him from Chatham. Lee & Ben cut some of Kate Harveys wheat this evening. Henry and I went with Ben to Renan. Heard this morning that Julia Fergerson has a little daughter born this morning. I am glad. I have not seen Carrie to day. I certainly did want to see her.

Well things dont go like I want them to but I cant help my self. Will try and do the best that I can. That is all I can do.

A good day. Very warm. Jim & Ben finished getting up oats and hauled up some hay.

Marvin solde his land today. Norman Booker bought it as Marvin would sell. I had Norman had it as any one that I can think of. Oh how I shall miss them if I live that long.

Carrie and the children come here a while this evening. Mabel has cried a lot today. I am certain that she is not well. Julia & Edna and Franklin and Virginia Wooding all went to Marvins to hear them sell. Had a car[?]
