A good day. Ben & Jim is at the barn. They ground apples to day to make cider. This evening Ben went to Cedar Forest to see some parties a bout a school house. Henry and Edna and I went two.

While we were gone Kate Harvey come. Also Janie Gravely & Evylin Edmons. I would of bin glad to see them. Mollie Reynolds come a little while before I went a way from home.

Josie got dinner. I washed the dishes after dinner.

I have just finished working button holes in Roy Smiths pants.

A rainy morning. Clear this evening. I come from Richmond to day. There was no one to meet us so a Mr Davis brought us to Cedar Forest and Marvin brought us home. Found them all well. I am glad that I am at home.

Ben & Jim is helping Marvin stripping tobacco. I am talkin so much that I cant write like I ought.

A good day. Ben shucked corn about all day. Jim until dinner. Then he went to the mill at White Falls. He carried Franklin with him. Josie commenced a dress for herself to day. I went to Cedar Forest. Elsie East carried me. She had a horse and buggy. We fished a while. Did not catch any thing worth anything. We had a good time any way.

Henry has commenced to sleep up stairs.

A cloudy day. The men folks could not do much of any thing. This evening Ben carried Henry & Reese and I to Cedar Forest to fish. There was people there seining. We fished a little in the pond. A cloud began to gather and I was a fraid to stay so we come home and then it did not rain much.

The school closed at Strait Stone this evening. There was a big crowd there. We did not stop there. Mrs Anderson and Mrs Blair went to see Mrs Edmons this evening.

Josie ironed all the morning. Ben went to Hubbards store and got a nice lot of fish. Josie fried some for supper. I did not eat any to night.

A good day. A little rain tonight. It is needed so bad. Jim & Ben & Henry worked on the tobacco most of the day. Ben went to the mill at Cedar Forest. The water was so low that they could no grind. Franklin and I went with him. I fished a fished caught two fish.

Josie ironed some. Julia got a dress by mail. I am glad that she got it.

No one from here did not go to the show to night. It is raining now.
