A good day. Jim & Ben and Henry worked tobacco all day or nearly all day. Josie washed this morning. I got dinner. I cooked cabbage & potatoes and beets & onions. All raised in the garden this year.
This evening I went to Marvins a few minutes. Carrie was sewing. I have suffered some with my hip nearly a week. I am glad that I am able to go as well as I can. Do hope it will soon get well.

A good day. Ben plowed under rye. Jim plowed some in the garden and planted potatoes & onions. Josie and I finished the quilting. Josie milked. The cow kicked her and hurt her leg. Ben milked that cow tonight.
I finished two of Josies quilts this evening. Josie made Mable some drawers this evening. Mabel has cried a lot today. I think that something hurts her. Norman Booker traded horses today.
Three of the children went to school.

A nice day. Jim gardened most of the day. Ben plowed in the rye. This evening Ben & I went to Gretna. We carried some butter and two bushel of onions. Solde them all to Mr. Rucker. Bought several things and come home and left most of them at Gretna. I am very much bothered about leaving them. Cordie Blair come this evening. I was glad to see her. Josie got most of the dinner and all of supper. She milked one of the cows. Today is Jims birth day.
