A cloudy day and some rain. Jim & Ben worked on their tobacco land.
Josie ironed some. We both got the dinner. I went to the plant bed and got salit for dinner.
Christenia Reynols & Doris Brumfield come a while this evening. I am afraid they got wet before they got home.
I wanted to go to Marvins but went to the kitchen and sowed some. It is raining hard now.
Nine oclock
Jack Harvey come a few minutes this morning.
Tuesday May 17, 1921
A good day. Ben & Jim fixed tobacco land this morning and planted tobacco this evening. Henry and Edna dropped plants.
Josie and I washed this morning. We had a big washing.
Denia Blair come to see us this evening. I was very glad that she come.
Mollie invited me to spend the day with her. I could not go as we had commenced to wash.
Heard that Fanny Emerson is married to Dews Leneir. I wish the childe well.

Wednesday May 18, 1921
A good day. Ben & Jim worked on their tobacco land all day. Josie scrubed floors and got dinner. Kate Harvey & Carrie Smith come to see us this evening. I was not at home. Reese Smith carried Grace Brumfield and I to Mr Worshams pond. We fished. Caught a few. Had a pleasant day. Come by Renan. Clack Hubbards baby was sick. Dr Owen was gone to Chatham.
Ben did not like for Henry to go with me. Said he wanted him to work. I am sorry to ever do any thing that makes him mad. An old hen killed one of Josies turkeys. I am very sorry that it happen.
