A good day. Ben went to Eanes to work. Jim plowed. Ben come home and went for the teacers. Miss Fergerson & Miss Treer & Effie Brumfield. The proffesor did not come. John Brumfield come this evening. I am glad that he come. Ben carried the ladies home. Josie went with him. Josie cooked supper for them.

Marvin went to John Smiths this evening. Carried all the children. I went as far as Mr Johnsons. Paul Smith and I staid at the river. Marvin bought four pigs from Mr John Smith. Hope he may have good luck with them.

A colde windy day. Ben & Jim burned a plant bed today. Nellie & I got dinner. Mrs Carr staid up stairs most of the day. The children went to school. I got a letter from Effie. She writes that there is a lot of sicknesss at Blacks Burg. Hattie washed here today. We have had snow showers today. I have not heard from the sick around here today. Do hope they are better by now. I have mended some things to day. Among them was Edna's cloak. Edna & Mabel both went upstairs tonight with Mrs. Carr.

A bad day, cloudy and windy. We all staid at home until dinner. Jim and Ben went to Mr. Edmons to see the boys that is sick. They found Mrs. Edmons sick. I am very sorry for them. Effie & Hellen and Doris and Gladis Brumfield come down here this evening. They did not stay long. They carried some butter for me to Altivista. Nellie and I got dinner. Nellie washed dishes. Mrs. Carr did not come down until dinner. Henry went to Lees a while this evening. He got home at supper time.

A good hot day. The men watered the plant beds and watered and planted a little tobacco. Oh we need rain so bad. Henry has gone to Mr.Emersons tonight. I went with the children to the curant bushes late this evening. Edna got a letter from Aunt Effie. Sent four dresses of Julias that she had out grown. I have wanted to go to Gretna all the evening. In fact all the week but could not get off.
