A good day. I got breakfast and milked the cows then Ben carried Cordie and I to Long Island. We come on the Virginian R-R to Alberta. The[re] we had to wait for a train until dark then we came to Richmond. Willie & Julia met us at the depot. We come on a street car to Willies house. Effie had a good supper. I wrote to Lizzie Bennett this evening. I went and looked at the pretty flowers at the green houses.

A good day. Did not see Alma today. Effie had company to day, a Mrs Lavender. She had a nice dinner. Served it in three courses. William had a head ache last night and was sick this morning. Could not go to school. He was better this evening. William, Cordie, and I went to Windensburg [?] Pond. We saw the prettiest flowers over there. Great beds of cannas in bloom. We walked over there and come back on the street car.

Will & Jack Harvey are talking a bout their dr books. It is dry stuff to me.

A good day. We [are] at Willies yet. We ironed some this morning. This evening Effie and Cordie went to Hollie wood Cimetry. It is the granest place I ever saw. More beautiful monuments and tomb stones than one could think a bout that never was at a place of the sort.

I got two letters to day from home. Was glad to hear that all was well. Hope to be with them soon.
