Rain this morning. A good evening.

Josie got dinner. Had butter beans the first from our garden. This evening Dews and Mayhew and Ben and Paul played croquet all the evening. Kate Harvey come a while and Virginia Harvey and Doris Brumfield come by from Strait Stone.

They had carried one of A J Harveys girls to Mr Thompsons.

A clear morning. Some rain this evening and I am glad. Ben and Paul and Henry suckered tobacco. Mr Baily come. He eat dinner here. Ben and Baily went to Finches this evening. Marvin and I and Reese went to Long Island to meet Thelma and Julia Brumfield.

Josie baked a cake this morning and got dinner.

To night Ben has gone to Strait Stone to the odd Fellows Lodge.

A good day. Ben and Paul suckered tobacco. Ben and Josie Thelma and Paul went to Strait Stone at twelve staid a few minutes.

Josie and Thelma washed some this morning.

I got the dinner and boiled grapes. Josie put up 14 quarts of grape juice.

We gathered and picked off some grapes this evening and to night Thelma and Paul both picked til we finished.

A good day. The men folks finished cutting a house of tobacco. Jim Brumfield helped them finish.

Josie ironed.

This evening Lizzie and Earl Bennett come. I was glad that they did. Paul and Earl went off some where to night. Ben and Jim went to Strait Stone to night.

A day that the men folks could work most of the time. They moved tobacco and scattered sticks ready for cutting. We all tied primings and finished. Josie got dinner.

I went to the tomato patch this evening. Could not get many tomatoes. Brought a water mellon home. We cut it. It was fine.

It is raining now hope it may stop soon. Ben went to Ren Worshams this evening and to Strait Stone this morning. Paul carried his mother to Lee Brumfields this morning. Guess she is at Kate Harveys to night.
