Sunday, April 27, 1919
A clear cool day. Frost this morning. Ben come home from Strait Stone a bout twelve oclock last night. Jim Emerson come with him and staid all night and until some time this evening.
Ben brough ice cream with him more than Josie and I could eat. Jim Brumfield and Ben staid at home all day. Josie and the children and I went to Marvins.
Josie got most of the dinner. We had a chicken for dinner. The olde hog eat one of my hens this morning. I am very sorry.
Heard to day that Julia Fergersons baby has bin very sick. I do hope she will soon be well.

Sunday, June 1, 1919
A good day & very warm.
Jim staid at home and gathered some cherries and straw berries. Josie and Edna & Franklin did not go to Strait Stone.
Ben & I and Henry went. Beatalis Owen wen on the car with us.
They had a big crowd and a plenty to eat. Nellie & Evylin came down. Sunday got to Straight Stone in time for dinner. They came back by here.
Nellie staid and Evylin and Edna went back to Chatham.

Saturday, June 7, 1919
A good day. The men folks finished replanting tobacco. Josie got dinner. She had fried chicken and peas and beets. This evening she scrubed the cook room floor.
Mr Jim Power & wife come up here after cherries.
I went fishing. Grace B carried me. We got a mighty nice string of fish.
Hugh Brumfield come a while this evening. Got as many cherries as he could eat.
Jim and Ben has gone to Strait Stone to night.
Ethel Worsham has a son born this morning that is the 19th grand childe.
Kates cow has a calf. Came last night. I was so glad to see Kate this morning.

Friday, June 27, 1919
Some rain to day.
Ben went to Cedar Forest for his horse that he left yesterday. The river did not get very high. Not like it was expected to. Ben come to Strait Stone and helped to sein some. Brought home 4 nice cat fish.
Josie cleaned up the cupboard some. I got dinner. Potatoes & peas and beets.
Mr. Owen went to see his brother to day.

Saturday, June 28, 1919
A good day. A cool east wind all day. Ben & Owen choped a little in the tobacco. The land two wet to work.
Josie got dinner. I did not do much of any thing.
This evening Ben & the children and I and Beatriss Owen went to Strait Stone to a lawn party. They solde ice cream. I enjoyed it all. Mrs. Car was there. They had a big crowd. Could of solde as much more cream if they had it.
Marvin and his crowd was there. We got home about sundown. Josie got supper. I milked.
Irvin Harvey rode Bens colte to Strait Stone.
