Thursday, March 13, 1919
A good day. Ben & Owen hauled wood. Jim cleaned up the brush in the orchard.
Edna & Franklin and I went to Marvins. I cut some salit as I come home. Marvin was plowin; the first time the land has bin dry enough in a long time. Marvin & Carrie went to Strait Stone yesterday. They bought several things. Kate stayed with the little children while they were gone.

Saturday, March 22, 1919
Cloudy most of the day. Ben plowed to day. Mr Owen planted potatoes. Jim carried stalks to the cows. Josie ironed & got dinner. I washed a little. I made the button holes in Hazel Smiths cloak and carried it home. Carrie was busy fixin for tomorrow. She is thinkin of going to meeting tomorrow.
Lucius Gravely come here tonight to go with Ben to Strait Stone to night. Marvin carried them. The lights on Bens car would not work. Josie and the children has all gone to bed.

Monday, March 24, 1919
A good day. Ben plowed half the day then carried Josie and the baby and I to Strait Stone. They went to Strait Stone and I stoped at the branch and fished while they were gone. I did not catch but one fish. We come home and went to Carries. Murphist Harvey was there at work on their house.
Jim White washed the apple trees to day. I think he has done a faithful days work and a nice job.
Today one year a go Charles Brumfield was buried. Don't know how soon it will be some of the rest of the family.

Saturday, April 5, 1919
A good day. Ben & Jim shucked some corn this morning & hauled some stalks this evening.
Ben carried Henry & Edna and I the Moons Mill. We fished some. Did not catch any thing that was worth having.
Josie got dinner. She baked light bread. Boiled over some molasses.
Jim & Ben & Franklin come after us. Reuben & Paul come a few minutes. Reubin drove up the cows for me. He brought me his picture. I was glad to see the boys.
Ren Worsham & 4 of the children was at Strait Stone. He would of brought us part the way home if Ben had not come as soon as he did.

Saturday, April 26, 1919
A clear cool day. There was plenty of frost this morning. In some places the land was frozen. Jim & Owen fixed some land for a sweet potato patch. Ben went to Chalk Level this morning for some work that Sam Switz done for him. Worked the balance of the day on Jim Emersons car and did not get it so he could use it. Jim Emerson & Jim Brumfield and Lucius Gravely and Ben has gone to Strait Stone to night.
Josie cooked butter beans and little white beans and baked a cake and fried some fresh fish for dinner. I ironed a few things this morning and mended some this evening.
