Monday, April 1, 1918
Some rain to day not enough to stop work. Ben helped Marvin Smith cover his barn. Mr Owen plowed.
Josie got dinner and colored some eggs for the children and made some bats for her quilt.
Carrie and the children was here a while this evening. The children had a time hunting eggs. I sowed a few seed in the garden to day.
Eleven oclock by the new time.
Thursday, April 4, 1918
A cloudy day some rain this evening.
Ben went to the mill this morning. Mr Owens plowed. Josie ironed some and got dinner. Finished quilting her quilt this morning. I went to see Mag this evening. Edna went with me. Found them all well. Odie and Lottie and Miss Jessie Kellie was there. I come by Kates. Kate Reynolds was there.

Monday, April 8, 1918
A rainy day and still raining. The men folks could not do much of any thing. Josie and I put in a quilt. Josie got dinner.
Mrs Carr helped us quilt. Henry went to school. He is not well.
Hazel Smith is better of her breakin out.
Hope they will soon be well.

Tuesday, April 9, 1918
A very bad day. Rained all day and still raining. We finished quilting Josies quilt. Josie got dinner.
Henry did not go to school. There was to be a moving picture show at the school house to night but it is so bad I guess there will not be any one to see it.

Wednesday, April 10, 1918
A very rainy day.
Men folks could not do any thing out of doors.
Josie sewed some Mrs Carr knit.
I got dinner and churned then knit.
