Cloudy this morning. Clear this evening. Ben went with Mr Dews to Gretna after his car. They had some trouble in getting it home. I do hope that they will be pleased with it. Jim helped John Hutcherson raise a barn this evening.

Josie & the children went to Carries this evening. I went a few minutes then cut a mess of Salit I fished a few minutes this evening. Caught three minows. No one here found it out but Mr Owen. I think he saw me. Josie had a letter from her mother this evening.

A good day. Ben plowed half the day then carried Josie and the baby and I to Strait Stone. They went to Strait Stone and I stoped at the branch and fished while they were gone. I did not catch but one fish. We come home and went to Carries. Murphist Harvey was there at work on their house.

Jim White washed the apple trees to day. I think he has done a faithful days work and a nice job.

Today one year a go Charles Brumfield was buried. Don't know how soon it will be some of the rest of the family.

A good day. Ben & Jim shucked some corn this morning & hauled some stalks this evening.

Ben carried Henry & Edna and I the Moons Mill. We fished some. Did not catch any thing that was worth having.

Josie got dinner. She baked light bread. Boiled over some molasses.

Jim & Ben & Franklin come after us. Reuben & Paul come a few minutes. Reubin drove up the cows for me. He brought me his picture. I was glad to see the boys.

Ren Worsham & 4 of the children was at Strait Stone. He would of brought us part the way home if Ben had not come as soon as he did.

A good day. The men hauled in the pea hay this mornin and hauled manure this evening. Commenced to use the spreader this evening. Josie helped to get dinner to day and has got the dinner for ten days she says. I went to Mr Owens and dressed the baby.

While we were eating dinner Marvin called me and ask if I wanted to go fishing. Of course I said I wanted to go so he carried me to Cedar Forest. I did not catch many fish.

I was glad of the trip.

I got a letter from Alma this evening. Ben & Jim has gone to Willie Mayhews to night to get him to haul a load of guano.

A rainy day. Ben & Jim could not do much of any thing.

Josie ironed. I helped some and helped a bout the dinner & washing the dishes.

Got nearly wet attending to my chickens. It has bin a bad day on them. Mrs. Dews intended to go fishing and take me but it was so bad she did not go.

Mr. Lewis sent Ben five nice fish by William Gilbert. Don't know what they will cost him.
