A good day. We all staid at home. John & his children was here. Mary Brumfield & Doris & Janie Brumfield & Gladis Floid Reynolds and Irvin Harvey was all here this evening.
Josie and I got dinner. We had a nice roast of beef Mollie Reynolds gave me. I think all enjoyed them selves.
Mary & Edwin had quite an arguament a bout woman voteing.

Friday, August 8, 1919
A good day. The men folks finished pulling leaves to day. Edwin went squirrel hunting this morning. He killed two squirrels.
Josie got dinner and finished Ednas dress & dressed Ednas doll very nicely.
John went with me fishing the first time and I expect it will be the last time. We came by Jim Thomsons and saw him and all of his family. Jim gave us a nice basket of apples. We caught several little fish.
Doris Brumfield is here tonight. She is visiting Christenia Brumfield.

Saturday, August 9, 1919
A good day. John & Christenia started home this morning on a buggy. Doris went with them as far as Renan. Edwin staid here and helped Ben cover the barn. They did not get done.
Josie got dinner this evening. She baked a cake and to night she is sick. I hope she may be better by morning.
I went to Marvins this evening. Did not stay but a few minutes.
To night the men has all gone to the barn.

Friday, August 29, 1919
Cloudy most of the day but no rain. Ben & Owen moved tobacco this morning and cut this evening. Jim staid at the barn. Is there now.
Josie sewed most all day. This evening Mag Brumfield and Doris & Janie and little Charley come to see us. Rees Smith carried his mother to Strait Stone this evening.
I got a letter from Evylin this evening. I am always glad to hear from any of the kindsfolks.

Sunday, December 21, 1919
A good day. Jim & Ben brought Bell from Mr Laynes this morning.
Doris & Janie and Aubra Brumfield come here this evening. Irvin Harvey & Reese & Paul Smith come a while. I went to Marvins a few minutes.
Josie got supper.
I put on a pair of bed room slippers that Josie gave me. I like them fine.
