A cloudy day. Rain this evening. Jim & Ben planted corn on the branch land this morning. This evening Ben finished ceiling Marvins room then they planted some water mellon seed.

Josie washed this morning. I helped some.

I picked a few straw berries for supper.

Franklin is very sick to night. I do hope he may be better by morning.

A good day and very cool for May. The men folks replanted their corn. Mr Owen planted some beans.

Dr Wigginton was here today to see Franklin. Said he did not have diptheria He is much better off than he was last night I think. This evening I went to Marvins. Murphist Harvey was there. He hung their screen doors to day.

A good day. The men folks planted tobacco all day. I drawed plants all the time that I could. Mrs. Owen drawed this evening.

Beatriss Owen went to Long Island to meet her cousin. She did not come.

Josie got dinner and churned. She picked straw berries for dinner.

Two of Carries children are sick. I am so sorry. Hope they may be well soon.

Paul Bennett commenced to work at Marvins to day. I do hope that they may make a good crop.

Cordie & Nettie Blair come here this evening. I did not see them.

Cloudy most of the day & some rain. The men finished planting tobacco & replanted some.

Josie got dinner this evening. She went to Marvins.

We had peas for dinner and fried chicken. Had strawberries for supper.

All of us are able to eat most any thing that we cook.

A good day. They replanted tobacco this morning and worked it this evening.

Josie washed this morning. I got dinner.

This evening Josie and Edna & Franklin and I went to Hubbards Bridge and fished a little while. I caught 4 fish. Josie got several things. She carried 10-1/2 dozen eggs to the store and solde them. They alowed her 35 cts per dozen for them.
