A good day. Ben & Jim made some boxes to put on spring branch.

This evening Jim went to Chatham. Ben carried him. Josie and Mabel went with them. Josie baked a cake this morning. She scrubed the floor this evening. I went to Marvins this evening a little while. Carrie and Marvin washed this morning.

Ben started the engine today. We were all glad that he got it started. We used the lamps last night and made out fine.

A good day. Jim put up the potatoes sweet and irish. Ben sowed wheat tonight. They have gone to Gretna for grass seed. Carrie has a girl born this morning at two oclock. Denia come over here this morning a while.

Josie killed chickens and baked a cake. To day is Henrys birth day.

Clifton and Jane come here a little while tonight. Marvin went to Renan this evening. He traded some chickens.

I got up the pea nuts this evening.

A clear cool day. Ben & Jim filled up the pit at the barn. It was very hard job. The land is so dry. Josie washed. I got dinner and churned.

This evening I went to Marvins. Kate Harvey was there. Mrs Edmons and Mrs Hutcherson come to see Carrie and baby. Marvin and the children come home while I was there. Marvin had bin to Gretna.

I think there will be frost tonight.

A good day. We all was at home today. Alma Bennett was here all day. Earl and Alma has started home now ten o'clock at night. Josie carried Carries dinner to her today. I went to Marvins a little while this evening. Clack Hubbard & family was to see them this evening.

No sign of rain yet.

A cool windy day. Ben & Jim stripped some tobacco this morning. This evening they killed a calf that we called Billie Sunday. We had a wind storm last night and a little rain. Not enough to do any good. We need rain as bad as I ever have seen I think.

Josie has bin bad off all day with her jaws and throat. I do hope she may be better soon. She made Edna a negro doll this evening. I went to Denias this evening. Found them all well. I have not seen Carrie today. Hope she is getting on ok.
