A good day. Ben stacked his oats to day and finished plowing corn for him self and Owen. Plowed some in the garden. Josie ironed and got dinner most all of it. I got a new dress. Alma Bennett sent it this evening by mail.

I went to Carries a while and then to Posie Reynolds. I carried Mrs Rice a bonnett that Alma Bennett made the bonnett. Carrie Smith furnished the material and gave it to Mrs Rice. Posie and his mother was gone to Chatham.

I had a letter from Ola (Bennett) Jefferson .

We are having some rain to night and need it two.

A good day. Ben and Paul and Owen plowed in their tobacco. Josie washed I got dinner. We got the first snaps out of our garden today and I burnt them so that we could not eat them. I had fried chicken and that was all. This evening Ben carried Henry and Edna and I to White Falls. Very much a gainst his will.

I caught enough fish to make a dish for supper. Mr Carrington Hubbard was here a while this evening. I did not meet him [ink mark] Well I went to sleep and made my mark.

Had a shower to day. Need rain yet. Ben and Paul and Owen plowed tobacco this morning. This evening Ben helped Marvin fix in his pump. To night Ben has gone to Strait Stone to the lodge.

Tom Edmons came this evening to tell us good by.

He has got to go to camp Tuesday. I feel so sorry for him. Lizzie and Earl Bennett come to see us. Tonight Paul and Earl has gone to see some of the young folks.

Mr Mayhew gave an ice cream supper. We were invited did not go.

A good day. Ben plowed up the potatoes and Josie picked them up. Ben sowed turnip seed to day. Paul tied some primings. Josie got most of the dinner. I churned went after some tomatoes. After dinner I put up three cans and killed two chickens and cut the cucumbers and put them in brine.

Paul and Thelma went to Dick Woodings to a stew to night. I hope they may have a nice time.

Julia and Henry and Edna are in my room and talk so much that I am in the hall writing.

Chesley Edmons cut a house of tobacco today.

A good day. Ben and Owen plowed. Josie sewed some. Reese and Paul and Roy and Hazel come down here a little while this morning.

Josie and I tried to strip tobacco this evening. It got so dry that we could not tie it as it should be done. Kate Harvey come a little while late this evening. She wanted to see Ben. We walked over where he was plowing.

I have just finished stringing snaps for dinner tomorrow.
