A rainy day most of the time. Jim & Marvin hauled some corn. Henry went to the store.

Ben went to Mr Powers. Got a load of corn. Bought it from Mrs Car. They paid $10 dollars per bbl.

I went to Marvins a few minutes this evening.

Tom Edmons was here awhile tonight. Franklin come in my room & went to sleep in my lap.

We finished up after killing hogs to day.

A good day. Colde tonight. Ben & I went to Strait Stone and bought several things. Mr Sam Owen went to the mill. Carried some corn for us.

Josie baked some cakes. Give William Gilbert one.

Ren & Ethel Worsham sent me a nice sweater for a Xmas gift. Josie and I had a card from Irene Dyer. This evening I had one from Julia Fergerson. Guess she is at her fathers tonight.

Henry killed two ducks today and I dressed them.

I don't think that Henry can go to sleep tonight for wanting to know what Santy will bring.

Well I may never see another Xmas. We have bin well all the year. Have not missed a night waiting on account of sickness.

A good day. Jim and Owen stripped tobacco most of the day. Ben sawed wood for Lee Brumfield. Tonight Jim & Ben has gone to the school house to a farmers meeting.

Josie and I ironed most of the day. I stewed pumpkin today the last that we have. I went to Marvins a few minutes. Carrie was ironing. Marvin and William was getting up corn.

Kate Hubbard baby is very sick. I hope he may get well a gain.

Jim & Ben has got home.

A beautiful day. Some warm. Jim and Ben helped Owen strip tobacco after shucking some corn and carrieing it to the corn house and feeding the cows. Marvin loaded his waggon and sent it on to Gretna.

The children went to school. Josie and I got dinner.

I have went to sleep and let my book fall twice. Dont know any thing worth writing so I will quit.

A good morning. Cloudy this evening and some hail. The men stripped tobacco most of the day. Shucked some corn just at night.

Josie and Henry went to the store this evening at Cedar Forest. The baby has bin very good for her all evening. The children has very bad coughs. The olde hog caught one of my chickens to day. Miss Carter taught school today to make up a lost day. Irvin Harvey got a phonagrapt from the Island today for Virginia Harvey. Hope she may be pleased with it.
