A good day. The men folks worked on their tobacco all day.

I washed a little this morning. Josie got dinner. She had croped [?] greens and beets, onions & potatoes and tomatoes and pies. It was all good but worked her two hard.

This evening I went to George Blairs. The girls were seeding cherries. Denia & Mrs Hutcherson was gone to see Ethel Worsham. I come by Carries. Josie was there. We seeded some cheries.

A good day and very warm. Jim plowed all day laying by corn. Oscar and Henry Brumfield finished thining corn this morning. Oscar plowed this evening. Henry & Hugh played all the evening. Henry went with Hugh home this evening.

Ben went to the meeting of the school board at Green field this morning.

Edna and I went to White Falls. Ben carried us and come and brought us home.

Josie got dinner. She cooked cabbage and potatoes and baked apples.

Some rain to day.

Ben went to Cedar Forest for his horse that he left yesterday. The river did not get very high. Not like it was expected to. Ben come to Strait Stone and helped to sein some. Brought home 4 nice cat fish.

Josie cleaned up the cupboard some. I got dinner. Potatoes & peas and beets.

Mr. Owen went to see his brother to day.

A good day. The men folks all plowed. Josie got dinner. She cooked snaps and cymblins and potatoes and beets and baked apples. This evening I went with Gladdis and Hugh and Aubry Brumfield fishing. We caught a lot of little fish.

I come by Blairs. The men folks was stackin hay & oats. Several of the people a round went to Gretna & Altavista and some to South Boston.

Jim planted some corn & beans this evening.

A good day. Jim & Ben fixed up the fence that washed down Sunday night. This evening Jim went & helped George Blair thrash wheat. Ben and Owen hauled up wheat. Josie got dinner. She cooked cabbage and potatoes & symblings.

This evening Marvin carried Gladys and Effie Brumfield to White Falls fishin. We caught several small fish. They finished mending the race & commenced grinding new wheat.

I droped my knife in the river. The water was mudy so that I could not see it. I got down and felt for it and found it. I know it is foolish to to write about it but I keep thinkin a bout the surprize that I found it.
