A good day. Jim & Ben went to Long Island and got some beet pulp. Josie got dinner. I planted some potatoes slips. Henry helped me.

This evening Elsie & Hellen came. Elsie brought her baby. Josie kept it while Elsie gathered some cherries. I am sorry that I was not at home.I would of bin if I had knowed they were coming. Mollie Reynolds and I and Henry went after some strawberries. We found some.

I have not seen any of Marvins people to day. I allways miss them.

A good day. Ben & Jim plowed in the corn. Ben carried Josie & Edna and Franklin to Jim Powers at twelve. Henry & I went as far as the crossin at Starkeys.

We fished until Ben come back then come home. Then I went to where Booker Callums lives on Mrs Haleys land. Mollie Reynolds and I hunted strawberries. Did not find many. I milked by lantern light to night.

We had new Irish potatoes for dinner to day. They was fine. I made a few preserves this morning.

A very rainy day. The branch was out of the banks. The men plowed in the corn a little while this morning. I was here by my self except Henry in and out.

I got potatoes for dinner. The calf got in the corn this evening. Henry and I got it out & mended the fence. I wrote a letter to Effie this evening.

A good day. We all staid at home until dinner then Ben & family went to Jim Powers. Jim and I staid at home.

Marvin and family come all but Reese. I certainly was glad that they come.

Josie and I got dinner. We had new Irish potatoes and fried chicken, beets, and chocolate pies.

I stopped Lucius & his wife and had a look at their little daughter. She is a fine child.

A good day. They replanted some tobacco this morning & thined corn.

Josie has bin sick most all day. I got dinner then washed some. Henry went to Aunt Mollies & got some potatoe slips. Henry and I planted them. We have finished planting all that we want.
