Sunday September 4, 1921
A good day most of the day. Had a little rain this evening. I am so glad that it rained what it did. Josie and I got dinner. We had peas and fried chicken and plenty tomatoes, butter & bread.
Henry went to Marvins. Ben and Josie went to Gretna to meet Jim. They got home at sun down. Josie made coffee and we had supper.
I milked and fed the chickens. To night Jim and Ben went to Marvins. Have not come home yet. Ben & Josie met Henry Blair on his way home from Georgie. I know they will be glad to see him.
Saturday October 15, 1921
A good day. Partly cloudy. Ben & Jim hauled logs to the saw mill.
Josie got dinner. I got breakfast and milked the cows, fed the possomes and the chickens, churned and fixed the butter.
This evening Reese carried me to White Falls. Did not catch any thing to speak of. We had good luck going and comeing. Reese did not have any trouble with the car.
Alma Bennett come to spend the night with us. I am glad that she came.
Tuesday November 1, 1921
A cloudy day. No rain today. The land is good we for the first time in a bout five months.
The boys stripped tobacco. They finished a cureing for Jim.
Ben has bin complaining all day of head ache.
Marvin went to Gretna with tobacco. It solde very well. The children went to school. I killed and dressed an opossome. The first one that I ever killed.
Josie helped move a cureing of tobacco. Mrs Car shelled peas. We sent to Otho Blairs and got two pounds of butter. Paid 35 cts a pound. That is the first that we have bought this year.
This writing was done at three oclock Nov the 2nd. I forgot to write last night.

Thursday, February 23, 1922
A warm cloudy windy day. Jim Helped on the phone line. Ben shucked some corn & worked to get the wire from Owens garden. Josie washed some. Did not hang out her clothe. I ironed some. Churned and fixed up the butter. Henry & Edna went to school. A car passed here today. The first one in some time.
Ben & Josie milked this morning & tonight.
Monday, April 10, 1922
A nice day. Jim gardened most of the day. Ben plowed in the rye. This evening Ben & I went to Gretna. We carried some butter and two bushel of onions. Solde them all to Mr. Rucker. Bought several things and come home and left most of them at Gretna. I am very much bothered about leaving them. Cordie Blair come this evening. I was glad to see her. Josie got most of the dinner and all of supper. She milked one of the cows. Today is Jims birth day.
