A very colde day. Jim & Ben burnt a plant bed to day.

Josie got dinner. I kept the baby.

I ironed some this evening.

S[eu?]la[r?] Hayley come and brought some wood to the porch and carried some up stairs. Want to have some ready for Xmas.

Today is Hazel Smiths birth day. I would of went up there but did have time and do the ironing.

A good day. Ben & Jim went to Chatham. Jim stayed. Ben got home a while before night. Made the trip ok. Josie and I and Franklin & Mabel, Carrie and Hazel and Eva all went to Johnson Reynols. We had a pleasant evening. Reese come after us with the car.

I went with Franklin fishing in the branch. Caught five minowes. Josie got dinner & washed the dishes. Nettie sent Ednas dresses home to day. They are very nice. Jims turkey layed to day for the first time.

A clear colde day. There was ice this morning. I am expecting the fruit to be killed tonight.

Jim has not come yet. We dont know what to think is the matter. Ben cleaned up the land and plowed some today. Henry and Edna went to school today. They are in this room a sleep to night.

I sowed a border on Effies quilt to day. Josie got some salit for dinner to day. She worked on a dress for Mabel a while this evening. I went to Marvins a few minutes this evening. Carrie had finished a dress for Hazel.

A cloudy day. Ben & Jim cut wood all day. Josie made Mabel a dress. Josie got supper. She baked light rolls. They were fine. Henry & Edna went to school. I went to Marvins and worked button holes in Hazels and Evas dresses. I set a hen this evening. I wrote two letters this morning.

A cloudy day. We had rain and lightning and thunder last night. Jim and Ben has bin blowing up stumps today. Ben went to Mt Airy for fuse and Josie and all the children went.

We cooked turnip salit for dinner and turnips. We looked for the men that is to put in lights but they did not come.

I went to Marvins a little while. Carrie was makeing Hazel a dress. Virginia Harvey was at Carries to day. She had bin doing some fancy work for Carrie. Josie fixed a nice towel this evening.
