A very rainy day. I dressed a hen for Kate and churned. I knit on Henrys stockins to night.

Nannie Kate and I got supper. Clack Hubbard was here at supper and staid all night. Mrs Martha Booker died to day so we heard over the phone.

A good day. Ben worked on Owens house this morning and went after Jim Brumfield this evening. Henry Blair brought Jim a part of the way.

Henry Brumfield went with his father. Mr Owen come down to night and they played cards. Virginia Harvey is here tonight. Josie sewed some today. Josie and I both had a hand in getting dinner. Josie went to Marvins a few minutes. I cut rags for a rug & darned stockens. 10 : oclock

A colde windy day.

Jim plowed all day. Ben helped Jim Emerson work on his car all day. Mrs Owen is sick. Mr Owen did not work to day. Heard tonight that Dr Owens baby has croup. Hope she may soon get well.

I went to Carries this evening. They were all well. Marvin was workin in his garden. He is good hand in a garden.

Henry & Edna went to school today. To night Edna put her stockins on some wood by the fire and they cough afire and burnt the feet off.

9:30 oclock

Heard to day that Lucius Gravelys wife has a daughter.

A cloudy morning and rain before twelve oclock.

The men folks could not do much of any thing.

Mary Towler and Mintie Motley went from here this morning. Ben carried them to George Blairs and Frank Blair carried them home and brought his mother home.

I got dinner today. Josie made Edna a dress and finished it some time before night.

I went to Marvins a few minutes this evening. I got some stockings by mail that Josie ordered for me. Am very well pleased with them.

Franklin has bin cross and mean all day. I think because he could not play out doors.

A colde day. Ben & Jim burnt and sowed a plant bed. Henry & Edna went to school. Josie mended some stockings. I got dinner. I churned this morning. We heard over the phone that Cordie Blair is no better. We have to stay at home now that the weather is bad that I dont know any thing to write. Little Mabel has bin sick today. I hope she may be well in the morning. Ena let the cows out of the stalls tonight for me.
