A rainy day. Ben and Jim finished at Owens house then stripped tobacco the rest of the day. I helped strip until twelve then I knit most of the evening.

Josie got dinner. She had a good dinner.

I had a card from Alma Bennett this evening.

Ben & Jim and Josie are playing cards tonight. All of the children are asleep I think I will go to bed soon. Today has bin warm for the time of the year. Now the wind has commenced to blow I think it will get colde by morning.

A colde windy day. We stripped tobacco most of the day. Ben is complaining of sickness so much he has not worked much today. Jim and Owen put up the heater at Owens house this evening. Charlie Hutcherson loaded his truck with tobacco for Marvin & Ben this evening. Josie got dinner. She is nearly sick. Jim has gone to Marvins tonight has not got back yet.

A good day. Ben painted at Owens house to day. Jim & Owen stripped tobacco.

Josie and I got dinner. This evening I went to George Blairs. Went by Charley Hutchersons and bought a busel of meal. Irvin Harvey brough it home for me. I stopped at Jessie Hutchersons a few minutes. All the young folks from Blairs was gone to a lawn partie at Edge Hill.

Ben has gone to Strait Stone to night to the lodge.

A good day. Cloudy but no rain. Jim and Ben cleaned up land and plowed most of the day. Mr Jim Emerson and Sarah Emerson come today. I was glad to see them. Denia Blair come this morning and brought a basket of apples. We were glad to get them.

Hugh Brumfield would of gone with me fishing if I could of went. I am glad that I staid at home. Carrie and the children come a little while late this evening. Henry brought me two boxes from Owens house this morning.

Snowed last night and this morning. The land is covered with snow tonight but it is warmer now than yesterday. The men could not do much of anything to day. Ben went to Renan. Jim went to Mr. Bookers. There is some one sick at nearly every house. Earl Bennett was here today about fertilizer. Nellie got a letter from Evyline. She is sick and Nellie is so distressed she did not eat any supper. I am sorry for her but can't do any thing that would do any good. Henry and Edna went to school. Franklin and Mabel has had a good time today. I finished Carries quilt ready to quilt to night. I set a hen today.
