Cloudy most of the day but no rain. Jim worked in the garden most of the day. Ben went to the island for guano. Carried a log to the saw mill. Henry went with him. Josie got dinner and supper. She baked light rolls for supper. I ironed all the morning. Tonight John come to see us. I am glad that he come.

9:30 oclock

Jim has a very bad colde. I am sorry for him.

A good day. Colde for April. A big frost this morning. Ben & Jim went to the island for guano. Got home by dinner. Carried some guano.

Josie made her a dress to day. I got dinner. This evening Effie & Hellen Brumfield and Virginia Harvey come. We were very glad to see them. I walked with them as far as Carries.

A good day. Windy and warm. Jim & Ben went to the island for guano.

Johnson offered to take me. I would of went but I had no one to stay with me at the river. I went to Mr Tom Woodings this evening. Found them able to get a bout. Josie finished my apron for me this evening. I went to sleep while I am trying to write. Jim & Ben went to Marvins to strip tobacco to night.

A rainy day but not hard. Ben went to the island after guano Owen plowed some this morning. I went to Johnson Reynolds. Went by Mr Hutcherson. Talked with the snake a while. Eat dinner at Reynolds. Kate Harvey come down there a few minutes. Josie and the children staid at home. Mabel is sick. Ben put on a new tire and is going to pump up his tires ready to go to Chatham. I am glad things is not any worse.

A good day. Ben & Jim worked on their plant bed. They went to Steven Davis for guano. Ben has gone to the lodeg tonight with Norman Booker. Josie has gone up there to stay until bed time. Josie and I washed some today. Henry made the fire and diped some water. He shucked a little corn and gave the cows a few stalks. We have bin reading tonight.
