A good day. Ben & Jim plowed all day. Josie and done a round[?] as usual. We went to Marvins this evening. Carrie was makeing Roy a suit. Josie worked button holes in Franklins clothes while she was at Carries. Josie baked light bread for supper.

Mollie Reynols & Julia Fergerson come from Portsmot to day.

Mrs Walter Mills was buried this evening. Henry & Edna went to school to day. Paul Smith & Henry Brumfield traded a type writer for and organ to grind. Jim made hot bed today.

A good day. Some clouds this evening but no rain to do any good. Jim & Ben & Henry worked in the tobacco all day. Fannie Power went to preaching to day. Ada Anderson carried her and then carried her home. We will miss her. Josie got dinner & supper. Her and the children went to Marvins this evening. Marvin went to the burial this morning.

I cut a few quilt peices this evening.

The meeting at Piny Grove closed to day. They had two sermons and dinner on the grounds.

Had tomatoes raised this year for dinner today.

A good day. Earl Bennett staid here all night last night. Ben & family went to Rob Hubbards. Mrs Car went with them.

I staid at home most of the day. Went to Marvins this evening. They had company. Lee & Grace and Mr John Smith & Gallie Burger was there. Reese went to Gretna to meet Jim. All of the children and Hugh Brumfield went. Mr Hargrave was buried today.

A beautiful day. No sign of rain. Jim & Marvin moved some tobacco this morning. Ben went to Chalk Level to get some peices sawed to make a roller to roll their wheat land. They worked on the roller all evening and did not finish it. Josie sewed some on a dress for Edna.

I went to Marvins this evening. They are getting on very well there. Tonight Marvin & Ben has gone hunting.

We heard this morning that Mr Taz Wooding died last night. Will be buried tomorrow.

A good day. Jim & Ben worked on a roller until twelve. Ben & Josie went to Altavista this evening. Josie had three teeth pulled. She come home sick. Has bin inbed ever since. Hope she may be better by morning. Marvin went to Mr Taz Woodings burial this evening. I kept Mabel this evening. She was very good for her.

The children went to school. Come home with their Dady when he come from Altavista.
