Sunday, April 20, 1919
Easter Sunday. A good day. We all staid at home until after dinner. We had cake and pimento pepper for dinner that Josie bought at Chatham.
This evening Ben and family went to Jim Powers. I went to George Blairs. Lizzie Bennett was there for dinner.
Ren Worsham and family come this evening. Ren and George and Doratha & Ruth went to Edge Hill preaching.
Marvin Smith & family come to Georges. Marvin brought Lizzie and I home. Mr. Owen had a horse and buggy and went for his sister. She was at Mrs Myers.
10 oclock
Henry made the fire in the cook stove this morning for the first time in his life that I know any thing a bout.
Tuesday, May 6, 1919
A cloudy day and rain tonight. Ben & Owen planted corn all day. Jim plowed all day. Josie got dinner.
This evening I went to Georges Blairs. Lottie Blair was there with her little baby. I was glad to see Lottie lookin as well as she does. Isla was makeing Lottie a dress. Cordie was making her a quilt. I came home and found Jersey cow with a new calf. Ben is makeing my clock strike right.

Wednesday, May 7, 1919
A cloudy day. No rain to stop any one from work.
Josie hung the spring house door and cleaned out the spring house. This evening Josie and all the children went to Georg Blairs.
I choped some in the flower garden and helped Jim take off two canveses.
Tuesday, June 10, 1919
A good day. The men folks worked on their tobacco all day.
I washed a little this morning. Josie got dinner. She had croped [?] greens and beets, onions & potatoes and tomatoes and pies. It was all good but worked her two hard.
This evening I went to George Blairs. The girls were seeding cherries. Denia & Mrs Hutcherson was gone to see Ethel Worsham. I come by Carries. Josie was there. We seeded some cheries.

Sunday, June 15, 1919
A good day. Josie got dinner. Lizzie Bennett and I went to George Blairs for dinner. Gordon & his wife and Earl and Paul Bennett all was there for dinner. They had a good dinner. Marvin & family and Irvin and Kate Harvey all come here a while this evening. I would of liked to of bin here two.
Jim went to Johnsons a while this evening. Ben staid at home all day.
Franklin & his mother has the tooth ache.
