Willie washed. Mother & I made some peach preserves and canned 2 qts. of tomatoes & have done the general house work & tended to Robert Louis.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 21, 1941
Willie ironed today. Rex has been to Dock's helping bail hay. Robert Louis didn't sleep so well last night and has cried a good deal today. I think he had the Colic. Mother & I pealed some peaches to make preserves and gathered some dried peas and shelled most of them.
