Stayed at home all day. Robert Louis was kinda bad this morning and cried a lot. He has been a good boy this afternoon & slept a long time.

MONDAY, AUGUST 11, 1941
Rex, Jay, Roy Slaton & Marvin Wesley went to Dade Park today to the Races. Mother & I canned 1 gallon of tomatoes and strained some grapes to make jelly & cut off some apples to dry.
