THURSDAY, JUNE 5, 1941
We ironed this morning & have done the general house work. Filled a bed tick this afternoon & I patched most of the clothes and Mother sewed some on the machine.

FRIDAY, JUNE 6, 1941
I made some soap, made a cake which was almost a failure. I moped & waxed the kitchen floor. Mother cleaned the rest of the house, churned, helped get dinner and helped do a number of other things. The men are working away from home today.
