SATURDAY, MAY 10, 1941
Jay, Rex & I went to town this afternoon. I went to see Dr. Finley. He said I am getting along fairly well. I went to the Post Office & got 1 1/2 cent stamps & went to Jessie's & stayed until Rex got ready to come home. Listened to the radio tonight. Mrs. McGraw taold me Tom and wife have a new baby girl.

SUNDAY, MAY 11, 1941
Rex & I spent the day with Mother and Uncle Brock. Mother is real blue. Mrs. Polley, Aubrey, Alline and children and another little boy came to see Mother in the afternoon. We gave Mother a bed tick, a picture with a verse about Mother and enough money to get her some Rook cards.
