THURSDAY, MAY 8, 1941
I ironed this morning. Alma came this afternoon & helped me get the kitchen rug down. She painted the porch floor. It rained some this afternoon but not enough to ruin the painted floor. I moped & waxed the rug.

FRIDAY, MAY 9, 1941
I have straightened the house and mended some clothes. Rex & I went to Dock's about middle of the afternoon. Sis & Alma are house cleaning. Nora Lee was there also. Sis went to town to get one of her rugs cleaned & Nora Lee went home so Alma & I were alone part of the time.
