Mr. Gipson told
us of andrew
getting hurt while
riding their horse.
We killed hogs
today. Mr. Gipson
and Dock helped
and ate dinner
with us. Listened
to President
Roosevelt speak
over the Radio.
Jay, Uncle Brock & I
cut up the meat for
the lard this
afternoon. Rex & Jay
ground sausages
tonight.

Tuesday, January 7, 1941

Rex went to town
with some tobacco
today. John came
and rerendered
our lard. I have
washed jars and
made sausages
sacks. Jay and
I sacked the
sausages tonight.
