Go, like your heavenly Father, feed the poor,
And carry comfort to the sick man's door;
Pity the window, be the orphan's friend,
And if you cannot give them, freely come.
Think of your heavenly Father's love to you,
And imitate his love in all you do;
Merry shall then your early steps attend,
And from the snares of death your paths depend.
For you the poor man's prayer shall reach to heavens
And blessings more than you can ask begiven;
And when the rightous Judge from heaven descends
Before the world he'll own you for his friends.
