It belongeth unto GOd to give comfort
when he pleaseth to whem he pleaseth and
in that degree which is most subservient
to the designs of his wisdom & goodness.

The safey & blessedness of mans estate in
this life are not to be estimated by the
number of his visions & consolations nor
by his critical knowledge of the holy
Scriptures nor his exaltation to superiour
dignity & power but by his being grounded
& established in humility & filled
with divine charity by reaching in
all he doth the glory of God with
purity & integrity by his knowing &
dispising himself as nothing & vanity
& by rejoicing more in contempt &
abasement than in honour & esteem

The Law which accuses us & calls for
Judgement agains us is by the Gospel
of Christ made to withdraw its demands
are answered lodged in the Gospel Courts
we are left with Jesus alone tis him only
we have now to deal with for to him all
Judgement is committed let us therefore
recuse our interest in him & we are
made forever. Let his Gospel rule us &
it will infalliably save us.
