Status: Needs Review

Afflictions, weaknesses are; believe, &
you shall be carried through; believe,
& you shall be established; believe in
Christ, & you shall dare to follow Christs;
believe in Christ, & you shall go through
with Christ, & hold out to the end:
believe, & you shall neither fear,
faint, nor fall. Your faith will both
keep you faultless, & raise you harmless
& thereby keep you from sinking &
fainting in your mind.

Faith will yet feather all your fear.
It will put your reward into your
hand; it will put the Crown on your
head, even while the Cross is on your
back. Faith makes things to come present,
in the [?ance] of things hoped for; gives
being to the good things promised; be
fore they are. Hope comes the eye of the
object, looks on things, to come as come,
faith brings the object to the eye, look
on things to come as came; it looks
on distance of time as God looks on it,
on a thousand years but as one day.
It looks on God's saying & doing, on God's
promising & performing as all one; it
antidates Glory, & gives a kind of present
possession of it in hand, "(In) all these
things we are more than conquerours."
